Audi signs Tambay for expanded slot
Audi will expand to run eight cars in the DTM this year, with Adrien Tambay getting a newly opened spot at Team Abt. The team had originally been set to run three cars for Mattias Ekstrom, Timo Scheider and Rahel Frey - meaning that Audi was set to field a seven-car entry. Audi's head of motorsport Wolfgang Ullrich said that the opportunity had since arisen to field an extra car under the Abt banner - although he admitted plans might not come together in time for the season-opening round at Hockenheim
