Barcelona downplays doubts about GP
Spanish Grand Prix boss Salvador Servia has played down talk that the future of the race is in doubt - but admitted its ultimate fate is dependent on it attracting fans back to the event. Although the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona has a deal to host the Formula 1 race until 2016, there have been widespread media reports in recent weeks suggesting that the government was looking at renegotiating its deal to ensure more favourable financial conditions. However, Servia insists that the track is not only happy with its current contract – but it is keen to extend it much more longer-term.

Ordonez joins Greaves for Le Mans
Lucas Ordonez has joined Greaves Motorsport for this year's Le Mans 24 Hours and Le Mans Series. The 26-year-old Spaniard will drive one of Greaves' Nissan-engined Zytek prototypes as the British squad bids to win the LMS and repeat its LMP2 class victory at Le Mans. Ordonez, a graduate of the Playstation GT Academy, will share the Zytek with Martin and Alex Brundle at Le Mans, while Tom Kimber-Smith and Brundle Jr will be his co-drivers in the LMS.

Official: Production Aston Martin V12 Zagato headed for Kuwait reveal

A howling red prototype of the Aston Martin's V12 Zagato made the international rounds last year, and now the first production example is headed for a Middle East reveal at the Kuwait Concours d' Elegance (running February 15-18). Only 150 of the super-exclusive Astons will be made for worldwide consumption.
Aston Martin hasn't released any new photos so we don't know how the 510-horsepower, £330,000 (that's $550,000 U.S., before taxes), aluminum-and-carbon-bodied coupe will differ from its progenitor. If the model on display at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show is an indicator, though, future owners have much to look forward to.
We'll know more in a few weeks, so until then, feast your eyes on the attached photo galleries and read the press release after the jump.

Car dealers have a strange and oftentimes contentious relationship with the carmakers. Stories of automakers shoveling unsaleable models down the pipeline with unreasonable expectations are legion in the car sales world. With the number of family-owned, single-brand dealerships dwindling, dealers often field competing franchises. The concept of loyalty is as quaint as a Lincoln Town Car. So it's worth noting the automotive brands that are actually liked by the guys selling them.The National Automobile Dealers Association conducts its Dealer Attitude Survey twice each year, and results from the summer survey are in. Hyundai stayed on top for the third time in a row, followed by Subaru, Lexus, Kia, and Mercedes-Benz. The survey measures three factors: "franchise value, automaker policy decisions that affect the dealership and the automaker's field staff who visit dealerships."
Sixth place went to Toyota, while Volkswagen, Porsche, and Audi followed. Cadillac and Honda tied for tenth. NADA received responses from over 14,700 dealerships, representing almost 54 percent of all dealers nationwide.

Official: 2012 Mini Roadster priced from $24,350*

Mini has officially announced pricing for the company's new Cooper Roadster. The tiny droptop will carry a base MSRP of $24,350 in the U.S., while the Cooper S Roadster will set you back $27,350. The top-of-the-line John Cooper Works Roadster, meanwhile, will command a sticker of $34,500 (*pricing exclude a $700 destination and handling fee). Should buyers wish to drop an automatic transmission into their Cooper Roadster or Cooper S Roadster, the two-pedal option will cost an additional $1,250, but the John Cooper Works Roadster is only available with a manual gearbox. Mini says 16-inch alloy wheels are standard on the base roadster and its S counterpart, while the topped-out JCW Roadster will roll on flashier 17-inch wheels.
That means the Cooper Roadster requires a $3,450 premium over the base hardtop Coupe, but curiously, it's cheaper than the Cooper Convertible by $600. While the latter doesn't exactly offer palatial amounts of space for rear passengers, it is still considerably more functional than its Cooper Roadster equivalent. We have to wonder if there's enough of a price differential between the two models to keep buyers from skipping the more rakish Roadster for its four-seat counterpart, but either way, we're just pleased it doesn't share the Coupe's awkward backwards-ballcap roofline. Week 12 of the iRacing.com Street Stock Series saw sim racers travel to Oxford Plains Speedway for the final week of the season and the crowning of the 2011 Season 4 champion. Many drivers started-off the season with the goal of dethroning three time series champion Nick Ottinger (Carolina) but only one driver was able to make it happen. Maxime Paquette (Eastern Canada) was the one who came out on top when all was said and done. Weekly Standings With a season championship within his reach, Paquette set fire to Oxford Plains. Coyne confirms Wilson’s return

D’Ambrosio joins Lotus as third driver
Jerome D'Ambrosio will be the Lotus team's third driver during the 2012 season, the outfit announced on Tuesday. The Belgian, who made his grand prix debut with the Virgin Racing team last year, was left without a racing seat after the squad signed Charles Pic to partner Timo Glock in 2012. Multi-Class racing comes to RSR
After much discussion, multi-class racing has finally been embraced by the Red Sox Racing League (RSR). The change in format means that beginning in Season One of the RSR 2012 calendar, league members have the opportunity to participate in some of the most exciting online racing available. Pirelli promises more excitement
